Anthracene has been shown to be soluble in a variety of binary and ternary mixtures of cyclohexanone, ethyl acetate, and methanol .

General description
Anthracene is a low-molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH). It acts as starting material for the production of anthraquinone.[2] This compound is listed in the SVHC (Substances of very high concern) candidate list of ECHA (European Chemicals Agency)
