General description
Chrysene is a symmetrical polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) with four condensed benzene rings. Incomplete combustion of fossil fuels and other industrial processes results in the production of chrysene which is known to be toxic, mutagenic and carcinogenic to humans.[4]
This compound is listed in the SVHC (Substances of very high concern) candidate list of ECHA (European Chemicals Agency)
