Application
Sapphire heat capacity Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended for use in calibrating or monitoring calorimeters used to measure either enthalpy or heat capacity within the range of 10 to 2250 K.
Features and Benefits
The variation of accuracy of enthalpy and heat capacity values as a function of temperature is presented in NIST certificate.
Notes on disposal and transport are documented in MSDS.
General description
The material furnished is synthetic sapphire cylinders, cut from centerless-ground rods. A unit of SRM 720 consists of 15 g of cylinder shape synthetic sapphire. The enthalpy and heat capacity data are derived from high-temperature enthalpy and low-temperature heat-capacity measurement.
