Dillapiole may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in French bean Phaseolus sp. treated with pesticidal formulation,[1] dill, caraway seeds and pharmaceutical formulations[2] using chromatography techniques.
General description
Dillapiole, a natural constituent of Anethum sowa Roxb, and plant-based insecticide synergist[1] is obtained from Piperaceae, Piper aduncum L. It exhibits potential biological properties,[3] and the essential oil extracted from Piper aduncum L., rich in dillapiole content, is commercially available as an alternative for the natural production of synergistic lignans.[4] Other Notes
