D-(+)-Fucose belonging to the class of sugars (saccharides), is a component of simple glycosides comprising of a few sugar units, generally limited to plant products, microbial, and antibiotic substances.[1]
Application
D-(+)-Fucose may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in environmental samples using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC–MS) technique.[2]
