| Interferences | Oxidized forms of manganese interfere. Strong oxidizing agents such as chlorine, bromine, chlorine dioxide, iodine, permanganate, hydrogen peroxide and ozone. However reduced forms of these components – bromide, chloride, iodide, manganous ion and oxygen – do not interfere. Reducing agents such as organic sulfites also interfere.
