General description
Bendroflumethiazide belongs to the class of thiazide diuretics, widely used in enhancing diuresis.[3] It is also used as an effective antihypertensive agent and in the treatment of edema caused by cardiac/renal failure and myocardial infarction. Its mode of action involves increasing the urine flow and the net renal excretion of both sodium and water.[1]
