Application
Benzoin has been used as a reference standard for the analysis of benzoin as an analyte protectant in fruit and vegetable samples by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) operating in selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode.[1] It may be used as a derivatizing agent for:
Guanidino compounds in serum prior to their determination by micellar electrokinetic capillary (MEKC) chromatography (MEKC).[2]
Metformin in pharmaceutical preparations and urine prior to its determination by spectrophotometry.[3]
Famotidine and ranitidine in drugs and biological samples prior to their determination using high performance liquid chromatography-diode array detection (HPLC-DAD).[4]
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
