Cyanocobalamin (B12)

General description
Cyanocobalamin (B12) is a water soluble vitamin, which belongs to the B12 class of vitamins, commonly called as cobalamins.(1) It is mainly found in animal products such as dairy products, meat and also eggs.[1] It can find applications in the preparation of multivitamin supplements and fortified food.[2] It works as a coenzyme to convert L-methylmalonyl CoA to succinyl CoA, which is catalyzed by isomerase.[2] Application
