Application
Cyclanilide may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in:
Infant formula[1] and milk samples[2] by ultra-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS).
Cotton seed oil samples by solid-phase extraction (SPE) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet (UV) detection.[3]

Cyclanilide is typically employed as a plant growth inhibitor in cotton, either to inhibit vegetative growth (in combination with mepiquat chloride) or to promote senescence (in combination with ethephon).[4] Other Notes
