General description
Dibutyl phthalate can be widely used as a plasticizer[1] and additive in special paints and adhesives.[2] It can find applications as an endocrine disrupter[3] and peroxisome proliferator, which can act against demodicidosis infection.[3]
This compound is listed in the SVHC (Substances of very high concern) candidate list of ECHA (European Chemicals Agency)
