E. coli O111 Immunomagnetic Separation (IMS) Beads are magnetic beads coupled with antibodies against E. coli O111 and designed for use in immunomagnetic separation procedures.
The beads are intended for the rapid and selective concentration of E. coli O111, supporting subsequent isolation and confirmation on selective confirmation agars. Gold Standard Diagnostics states that the beads should be used as part of the USDA-FSIS Microbiology Laboratory Guidebook (MLG) Chapter 5B procedure for the detection, isolation and identification of STEC strains from meat products, carcasses and environmental sponges.
