General description
Ethoxyquin (EQ), an aromatic compound, is an antioxidant mostly used in animal and fish feeds. It is seen to inhibit carcinogenic effects of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Oxidation initiated by air, light or transition metals in unsaturated lipids can be stopped from propagation by EQ.[2][3][1]
