Application
Iohexol may be used as an internal standard for the determination of iohexol in human plasma, serum and urine samples by HPLC-UV method.[1][2] It may also be used as a model compound to analyze the applicability of iohexol for glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measurement by the plasma clearance of iohexol in investigating renal failure.[3] Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. General description
Iohexol is a non-ionic, water-soluble contrast agent used as a reference marker to determine the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) which measures the level of kidney function.[1] It finds applications in angiographic and urography procedures.[4][5]
