Isofenphos may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the pesticide residue in meat samples,[1] leeks,[2] rice[3] and human tissues[4] by various chromatography techniques.
General description
Isofenphos is an organophosphorus pesticide, used for the control of larvae of Popillia japonica Newman, soil-dwelling pests of corn (Amaze), Delia antiqua (Onion flies), Chamaepsila rosae (carrot flies), wireworms, etc. Toxicologically, the pesticide acts by the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity.[5][6][7]
