General description
Isoxicam is a long acting anti-inflammatory agent belonging to the oxicam group, and helps in relieving the symptoms of degenerative joint disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Its mode of action involves the ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis by suppressing the formation of cyclooxygenase and subsequent prostaglandin.[2]
