Potent inhibitor of osteoclastic bone resorption. The effect is believed to be attributable to both the antioxidant and estrogenic activities of kaempferol.
General description
Kaempferol is a bioflavonoid and a main component of the extract of Ginkgo biloba.[1] It is also present in a variety of fruits and vegetables.[2] It may serve as a potent candidate in the treatment of postmenopausal bone loss.[1]
