Nivalenol is a potential trichothecene mycotoxin, produced by Fusarium nivale.[2],[3] Genotoxicity of nivalenol is evaluated by alkaline single-cell gel electrophoresis assay.[3] Nivalenol is a secondary metabolite produced by Fusarium species, which is a plant pathogenic fungus of wheat and other cereals.[4]
