General description
N,N-Dimethylacetamide is a highly polar solvent[5], which can find applications in a variety of chemical reactions.[6] A mixture of lithium chloride in N,N-dimethylacetamide may be used for the dissolution of cellulose to form a homogeneous solution.[7] This compound is listed in the SVHC (Substances of very high concern) candidate list of ECHA (European Chemicals Agency)
