Pentadecanolide is one of the major components, isolated from the root of Angelica archangelica L., species. It is a synthetic musk, which exists as a widespread contaminant in the environment.[1]
Application
Pentadecanolide may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in fish muscles[2] and environmental samples[1] using chromatography techniques.
