Application
Phosphorus (P)standard solution SRM is intended for use as a calibration standard for accurately determining phosphorus quantitatively.
Features and Benefits
The certified value of the SRM was determined by calculating the mass fraction values of phosphorus, which were obtained through two methods:
Gravimetric preparation
Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES)
The certified value is metrologically traceable to the SI unit of mass fraction, expressed in units of milligrams per gram.
The NIST certificate is provided with expiration certificate, storage, handling, use,and maintenance instructions.
General description
Each unit of SRM 3139 contains five 10 mL sealed borosilicate glass ampoules containing an acidified aqueous solution, prepared gravimetrically to contain a known mass fraction of phosphorus. The solution consists of around 0.8% nitric acid at a volume fraction.
