Application
Piperonal has been used as a reference standard for the analysis of piperonal in bidi cigarette tobacco by solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (SPME-GC-MS)[1] and in natural vanilla extracts and synthetic flavorings by mixed micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and SPME-GC-MS.[2] It may be used as a reference standard for the determination of piperonal in urban wastewater samples by two-dimensional GC[3] and in commercial coffee granules as aroma compounds by simultaneous multiple SPME-single shot GC-MS.[4] General description
