Application
The Standard Reference Material (SRM) is primarily intended for use in evaluating equipment and validating methodologies for measuring electrophoretic mobility.
Features and Benefits
NIST certified value are metrologically traceable to the SI unit for meter, volt, and time and expressed as µm·cm/V·s).
Expiration details, instructions for storage and use are provided on the NIST certificate.
General description
Each unit of SRM 1980 contains a single 60 cm³ polyethylene bottle filled with 40 cm³ of suspension, which should be diluted before analysis. The suspension contains a 500 mg/L goethite (α-FeOOH) saturated with 100 μmol/g phosphate in a 5 × 10⁻² mol/L sodium perchlorate electrolyte solution, with a pH of 2.5.
