General description
Superspher® RP-18 is a reliable and versatile traditionally produced spherical silica gel carriers with C-18 reversed phase properties. They are well suited for the separation of neutral, acidic and weak basic compounds. This high performance silica carrier with a particle size of 4µm yields an excellent pressure/separation performance ratio.
Application
Determination of retinol and retinyl esters in human plasma: This study utilized high-performance liquid chromatography with automated column switching and ultraviolet detection, highlighting the utility of the Superspher 100 RP-18 HPLC column in sensitive biochemical analyses (Hartmann et al., 2001).
Enantioselective assay for ketoprofen glucuronidation: This study underscores the column′s capability in pharmacokinetic research, using HPLC to analyze chiral anti-inflammatory drugs and their metabolites in liver microsomes (Chakir et al., 1994).
Rapid liquid chromatographic assay of glutathione in cultured cells: Employing the Superspher 100 RP-18 column, this research focused on rapid and effective glutathione quantification, demonstrating the column′s versatility in biomedicine (Leroy et al., 1993).
Assay of chloramphenicol acetyl transferase by high-performance liquid chromatography: This application further exemplifies the adaptability of Superspher® 100 RP-18 in biotechnology, offering precise measurement techniques for enzymatic activity studies (Burzio et al., 1988).
