50 µm Microplate Sealing Film

ThermalSeal RTS Sealing Films are 50 µm polyolefin microplate sealing films with an inert silicone adhesive that provides a strong seal to minimize evaporation. They offer high optical clarity, minimal to no autofluorescence, DMSO resistance and are suitable for qPCR, sample storage and crystallization applications.

    ThermalSeal RTS Sealing Films are manufactured from 50 µm polyolefin film with a 50 µm inert encapsulated silicone adhesive. This construction provides a strong and reliable seal that helps prevent sample evaporation during storage and laboratory workflows.

    The film provides high optical clarity with minimal to no autofluorescence, making it suitable for applications requiring optical detection. The material is chemically inert and produces no extractables except under extremely high pH conditions.

    ThermalSeal RTS films are DMSO resistant, making them suitable for high-throughput screening (HTS) applications. They are recommended for use from -70 °C to +100 °C and are suitable for qPCR, sample storage and crystallization.

    The film is designed to fit within the raised rim of the plate, helping prevent seal loss caused by film lifting. The non-tacky adhesive layer also simplifies film handling and positioning before sealing.
