Microgen Path-Chek Coliforms is a specific culture media system designed for the detection of Coliforms from surfaces in food manufacturing and processing environments.
Samples are collected from surfaces using a pre-moistened swab, which is then transferred into the organism-specific media. The swab has a convenient break point that allows it to be easily transferred into the growth media.
The samples are incubated at 35–37°C for 18–24 hours. If the target Coliform bacteria are present, bacterial growth causes a colour change in the media, allowing the result to be detected.
The product is part of the Microgen Path-Chek range designed for hygiene monitoring of surfaces and food processing environments
