The sample is collected using a pre-moistened swab and transferred into the organism-specific media tube by breaking the swab at the designated breakpoint. The sample is incubated at 25°C for 24–48 hours. If Listeria is present, bacterial growth causes a colour change in the media, indicating a positive result. PC080 is supplied as media only and is intended for use with Path-Chek sampling swabs.
