I’Screen SEM Rapid is a competitive enzyme immunoassay designed for the quantitative analysis of semicarbazide (SEM), a metabolite of Nitrofurazone.

The assay is intended for the detection of SEM residues in seafood, bovine muscle, swine muscle and honey. The kit contains a 96-well microtiter plate and sufficient materials for 96 determinations, including standards. The assay time is approximately 45 minutes, excluding sample preparation.

According to the manufacturer’s IFU, the detection limit is 0.2 ppb. For shrimp samples, the detection capability (CCβ) is reported as 0.5 ppb.
