- Principle: Competitive ELISA.
- Plate Format: 96-well plate.
- Test Samples: Meat, milk, milk powder, cheese, shrimp, and honey.
- Testing Time: 80 minutes.
Sample Preparation
- Milk samples:
- If necessary, defat the milk. The milk should be centrifuged for 15 minutes at 4°C and at least 2000 g. The upper fat layer should then be removed.
- Dilute 1 mL of the previously defatted milk in 9 mL of extraction buffer and pre-diluted sample dilution buffer. Then shake the solution for 5 minutes at room temperature. The process is continued from step 3 of the solid sample extraction procedure.
- Solid samples:
- To maximize homogenization and representativeness of the sample, at least 5 g of the sample should be finely ground using a mortar, impact grinder, etc.
- Dissolve 1 g of the homogenized mixture in 10 mL of extraction buffer and pre-diluted sample dilution buffer. Then shake the suspension for 10 minutes at 40°C (cheese, honey, meat) or at 60°C (non-fat milk powder).
- Centrifuge the samples for 15 minutes at a minimum of 2000 g. For better fat separation, the centrifuge should be cooled to 4°C if possible. If the supernatant cannot be completely separated from the precipitate, filter the suspension if necessary.
