λ-Cyhalothrin is used as an internal standard for the determination of esfenvalerate from water by capillary gas chromatography with electron capture detection.[1]
It may also be used as a pesticide reference standard for the determination of the analyte:
In virgin olive oil[2] and cotton[3] by gas chromatography (GC) with electron-capture detection.
In leafy vegetables by gas chromatography coupled with an ion trap mass spectrometry detection system (GC–ITMS).[4]
