General description
2,3,5,6-Tetramethylpyrazine is a flavor compound belonging to the class of pyrazines.[3] It is found to be a main active ingredient of the traditional Chinese medicine, Chuanxiong and Ma-Huang herbs, used to treat asthma.[2]
