2,4-TDI may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in gas-phase[1] and biological fluids[2] using chromatography techniques.
General description
2,4-TDI is an environmental contaminant belonging to the class of diisocyanates. It is commercially used as a starting material for varnishes, paints, elastomers, polyurethane foams, wire enamels, etc.[1]
This substance is listed on the positive list of the EU regulation 10/2011 for plastics intended to come into contact with food.
