General description

Poly(dimethylsiloxane) [PDMS] is a polymer. It is a stable silicone rubber. It has been used as ion selective membrane for ion-sensitive field-effect transistors, as spring material in accelerometers, elastomer on a tactile sensor and as flexible encapsulation material in decouple sensors.[1] Application
Clear, colorless fluid polymer useful as a stationary phase in gas chromatography and as an anti-foaming agent.
It was used in a study performed to understand its molecular weight and molecular weight distribution by off-line coupling of GPC with MALDI mass spectrometer.[2] These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
