Application
Water saturated 1-octanol standard reference material (SRM) is intended primarily for use in validating methods and calibrating instruments for the measurement of trace concentration levels of water.
Features and Benefits
Available with a certified value of water content that is equally weighted means of the results obtained from:
(1) Coulometric Karl Fischer measurements.
(2) Volumetric Karl Fischer measurements.
(3) An interlaboratory comparison study involving collaborating laboratories.
Certified values are metrologically traceable to the International System of Units (SI) and SI-derived units of mass.
The NIST certificate is provided with storage, use and handling instructions.
General description
SRM 2890 is a certified solution of water-saturated 1-octanol. Each unit of SRM 2890 consists of five 5-mL ampoules, with approximately 2 mL of water-saturated 1-octanol.
