Biochem/physiol Actions
Serum is mostly required as a supplement to cell culture media. It contains macromolecules, carrier proteins, attachment and spreading factors, low molecular weight nutrients, and hormones and growth factors.[2]
Porcine Serum is commonly used as a media supplement in virus and mycoplasma production applications, as well as certain specialized applications.
