General description
Sulfacetamide is commonly used in ophthalmic preparations, to treat different ocular infections such as cornela ulcers and conjunctivitis.[1] It is generally formulated as a sodium salt and used as 10-30% w/v ophthalmic solution.[2]
Application
Sulfacetamide may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using column chromatography technique.[3]
